GO AHEAD, GET DIRTY!

Explore the underworld of the Niagara Escarpment with us. We'll equip you with a helmet, harness and headlamp before you follow your guide into some of the Escarpment’s uniquely formed crevices and caves.

On this 2.5 hour adventure you'll be crawling and climbing your way through passages to see what lies beneath the surface of all this limestone rock.

Level of experience

Beginners to Experienced – Don’t worry if you have never caved before, we teach you everything you need to know!! This activity does require some physical ability but as mentioned before – total beginners are fine doing this!

9:30 am – 12:00 pm or  1:00 pm – 3:30 pm

What to bring

Water to drink (in a day pack so it’s easy to carry)!

What to wear

Layered clothing with a long sleeve top or hoodie. Clothes you don’t mind getting wet & dirty! Long pants are recommended.

CAVING PROTOCOLS

At all times

  • Please follow a “leave no trace” policy. If you pack it in, pack it out (this applies to trash as well and especially cigarette butts).

  • Take only pictures and leave only footprints. Please do not disturb vegetation or wildlife.

On the hike

  • Watch your step. There are roots, rocks, and slippery spots.

  • Alcohol and cannabis are not permitted.

In the caves

  • Pay close attention to your guide's instructions.

  • Communicate well with your group members.

We had a great time during this activity, the personnal was friendly. We took the 2 hours package, with kids 11 and 15 and a stop to eat lunch and swim it was a perfect duration of about 3 hours.

We did the two hour paddle and loved it! The river was absolutely beautiful and so peaceful. There was lots of wildlife to look at - birds, turtles and a beaver! Prices were very affordable, we will return next time we are in the area. Remember to keep left on the rapids! Haha

What an incredible experience! The river is shallow, and no boats are on it as a result. It was such a calm run and we even saw a muskrat and white heron. Staff are so informative and fun! Highly recommend!

I will recommend this company to all friends. Been with them 2x and both times they were extremely accommodating and took care of me. Went for my second time 2 weeks ago and had a little mishap with my canoe flipping over. Their team was responsive and got me and my friend to safety and took great care of us. Can't wait to join another tour in the near future.
